Louder Than Life is the annual music festival that takes place for three days at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Expo Center, Louisville, in September. It features over 50 music acts on three stages, as well as award-winning whiskey, bourbons, craft beer, and excellent Louisville food.
Lineup
Louder Than Life focuses on classic rock bands and performers such as Guns N' Roses, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Staind, Godsmack, A Day To Remember, Ice Cube, etc. This year's lineup includes Slayer, Slipknot, Korn, Disturbed, Evanescence, The Offspring, Till Lindemann, Skillet, Nothing More, Badflower, and many others.
Beyond the Music
Besides performances and concerts, attendees can immerse themselves in a variety of other experiences. At the Kroger Big Bourbon Bar, visitors can enjoy a sip of Kentucky's finest, with bourbon expert Chris Blandford curating an extensive lineup of bourbons and specialty cocktails. Headbangers Hall offers unexpected encounters, from surprise guest appearances to delights from renowned chefs. Revel in exclusive spirits and brews crafted by rock legends, and a celebrity bartender might serve visitors. In the Highland Grounds Wine Garden, attendees can sip into the sunset, enjoy watercolor skies, and ease into the night.
Tickets
Festival-goers can choose from various ticket options. Each type of ticket has multiple price levels with limited availability, so visitors are encouraged to purchase early for the best prices. Weekend GA Level Four Passes start at $319.99, while Single Day GA Level Two Passes start at $129.99. Additional fees apply.
Camping
Visitors can enjoy a weekend of camping at Louder Than Life with various options available, such as Car + Tent Camping or RV Camping. An Early Arrival Pass for camping starts at $50, exclusively available as an add-on to camping purchases. Overnight Camping Vehicle Passes start from $100, while Car + Tent Camping Passes start from $299. Please be aware that camping passes do not include festival admission, which must be purchased separately.
Parking
Parking at the Kentucky Expo Center is conveniently located within walking distance of the Highland Festival Grounds. General parking will be available for daily purchase during festival days for a fee. Parking spots are not reserved and are assigned based on your arrival time and entrance into the Kentucky Expo Center parking lots. To secure on-site parking, it's recommended to arrive early. Regular parking costs $30 plus tax.
Rules & Restrictions
Alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, and mixed drinks, will only be sold to individuals aged 21 or older with an ID. For safety and security reasons, large bags, backpacks, duffle bags, and outside food or beverages (with the exception of one factory-sealed bottle of water) are strictly prohibited. Additionally, items such as selfie sticks, lasers or laser pointers, drones, and outside chairs of any kind are not permitted on the festival grounds. For everyone's safety, weapons of any kind and drugs are also strictly prohibited. Please note that only service animals are allowed at the festival.
