The Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival is an annual event that takes place in May in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. The festival was founded in 1999 to bring the independent music community together and has evolved into a large four-day punk-rock and bowling party. There is also a similar three-day festival in Asbury Park, NJ.
The outdoor music festival usually takes place at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC). Late Night Club Shows are featured in various clubs within walking distance of DLVEC. Legit Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament takes place at the Golden Nugget, while Amateur Bowling Tournament with significant cash prizes happens on Saturday and Sunday. The festival also features Killer Pool Parties with bands and Dj's, as well as comedy and punk rock lounge acts, food trucks, vendors, and an art show. Previous lineups included The Hives, Rancis, Descendents, The Specials, and more.
The Punk Rock Bowling & Music Festival usually features over 15,000 of attendees, sharing the love of punk, rock, and bowling. The festival is organized by Stern brothers, who have been involved in the DIY punk rock community since the late ’70s, playing music with Youth Brigade, Royal Crown Revue, That’s It!, The Extremes, promoting shows and running one of the oldest punk rock labels in the U.S.
