Held since 1983, the Belmont Shore Christmas Parade is a long-awaited event, for which people prepare in advance. This annual holiday-inspired parade is a part of the Belmont Shore Winter Village fest, taking place in early December, usually on the first Saturday. The parade itself features all kinds of entertainment, like a bunch of marching high school bands, floats, dance troupes, various local ensembles, and a special live concert, closing the show. Fun fact: many local business owners and dignitaries also join the action.
As for logistics, the parade begins at Livingston Avenue and heads along East Second Street toward Bayshore Avenue. The 3-hour walk is scheduled for 6 pm to 9 pm, but streets close already at 5 pm. The event is free and open to the publish, so no tickets are required. Just come and enjoy!
