The Fifolet Halloween Parade is the main highlight of fall celebrations in Baton Rouge, taking place in late October. The vibrant parade includes krewes, dance groups, music bands, and costumed participants, who entertain the crowds and throw candy. In addition to the parade, the annual multi-day festival features a 5k run, a pub crawl, a costume ball, and an art market.
Parade Route & Schedule
The parade starts at about 4 pm, with the staging area open from 2 pm. The participants march from the end of Government Street to Laurel Street & River Road. On the route, you'll find many Halloween-themed attractions, including Party Zone, Family Zone, Party Zone, and No Scare Zone.
Other Festival Events
Zombie Pub Crawl is another popular costumed event during the festival. Downtown Baton Rouge gets flooded by zombies looking for beer and brains. Halloween Town is an excellent attraction for families in Baton Rouge. Available throughout October, the festive area on the Riverfront features vendors, live entertainment, contests, and competitions. Costume Ball, Royalty Brunch, and Arts Market are some of the other events you can experience during the festival, which runs from October 25 until October 27.
