Halloween Parade 2023

One of the most popular fall events in Louisiana

Dates: October 28, 2023

The Fifolet Halloween Parade is the main highlight of fall celebrations in Baton Rouge, taking place in late October. The vibrant parade includes krewes, dance groups, music bands, and costumed participants, who entertain the crowds and throw candy. The parade starts at about 4 pm, marching from the end of Government Street to Laurel Street & River Road. In addition to the parade, the annual multi-day festival features a 5k run, a pub crawl, a costume ball, and an art market.

Zombie Pub Crawl is another popular costumed event during the festival. Downtown Baton Rouge gets flooded by zombies, looking for beer and brains. Halloween Town is an excellent attraction for families in Baton Rouge. Available throughout October, the festive area on the Riverfront features vendors, live entertainment, contests, and competitions.

Baton Rouge is called Capital City for Halloween for a reason. The historic area, known for its Civil War-era sites and hair-raising stories, is full of creepy old buildings surrounded by century-old oak trees. The iconic State Capitol, Arsenal Park, The Spanish Moon theater, and Baton Rouge National Cemetery hide many haunted stories and dark secrets. Visitors can immerse themselves in the mysterious atmosphere of the city in October and experience legendary southern hospitality.
