Memorial Day at the National Museum of the Pacific War

The National Museum of the Pacific War honors and remembers those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country every Memorial Day. The program usually consists of speeches by speakers during the honoring ceremony. The National Museum of the Pacific War (NMPW) is a recognized world-class cultural institution. Visitors to NMPW can learn more about the history of World War II in the Asia-Pacific Theater through the museum's collections and exhibitions.

Pacific valor: Sergeant Darrell Cole | Battle Demonstrations

The Museum's Pacific Valor and battle demonstrations tell the story of Sergeant Darrel Cole, who died on the battlefield, proving himself a true hero. Visitors will be able to feel themselves in the middle of the pain of battle with the help of simulated explosives, a real M2-2 flamethrower, and blank-firing guns.

The program starts at 11 am and 2 pm. The organizers do not advise people with heart conditions, toddlers, or pets to visit this event. The museum also recommends buying tickets online at the following prices: adult ticket costs $10, children (5 and under)—free, children (ages 6-17)—$5, college student (with vallid ID)—$5, and WWII Veteran—free.

Fredericksburg Crawfish Festival

Founded in 1997, the Fredericksburg Crawfish Festival has become one of Fredericksburg's most popular and largest events and the second largest in Texas. The Festival always takes place on Memorial Day Weekend and features family-friendly activities, including lots of Cajun food, shopping, and live music. Guests can join up Festival on Friday from 6 pm to 12 am, Saturday from 11 am to 12 am, and Sunday from 12 pm to 6 pm. Friday's ticket is $12, Saturday's ticket—$15, a ticket for Sunday costs $10, kids (ages 6-12)—$5, and children under 6 are free. Weekend Passes—2 day $24/3 day $30, Children Weekend Passes—2 day $9/3 day $13.

Annual Memorial Day Weekend Art Show

The Annual Memorial Day Weekend Art Show will take place from 10 am to 6 pm. The Fredericksburg hosts all events with a mission to educate and promote the creation of fine arts throughout the Texas Hill Country.
