Memorial Day Weekend traditionally brings many activities across New Jersey. Some of them are related to the commemoration of fallen soldiers, others celebrate the arrival of summer. One of the most traditional celebrations is attending a parade.
Wyckoff Memorial Day Parade (May 29, 2023)
An impressive Memorial Day Parade takes place in Wyckoff, starting at 11:30 am near the Cornerstone Christian Church. It features antique military vehicles, veterans, marching bands, and military color guards. The parade passes through Wyckoff Ave., Main St., Franklin Ave. and ends at Scott Plaza.
Memorial Day ceremony in Wrightstown
You can also join a parade and Memorial Day ceremony at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery in the village of Wrightstown to remember service people who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of their country.
The annual May Fair in Collingswood (May 27, 2023)
The annual May Fair takes over the town of Collingswood on Saturday (or Sunday as a rain date) with lots of activities for the whole family. The fair features over 200 art and craft stalls, a KidZone, pony rides, carnival rides, games, and lots of delicious food from 10 am to 5 pm.
Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival at Monmouth Park in Oceanport (May 27–29, 2023)
The Monmouth Park in Oceanport features a long-awaited Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival that annually draws thousands of people during Memorial Day Weekend. Over 40 food trucks offer diverse menu items from delicious Belgian waffles to fresh lobster rolls. Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival lasts three days offering live music on two stages, games and races, clowns, pony rides, face painters, and a bounce house.
Woodland Park Memorial Day Street Fair (May 29, 2023)
Woodland Park Memorial Day Street Fair is a big annual event held along McBride Avenue in Woodland Park. It starts with Memorial Day Parade, followed by family attractions and entertainment. Over 100 food and merchandise vendors, music, children rides, a climbing wall, and a special section with craft exhibitors promise a Monday full of fun.

The Memorial Day Parade in Freehold is the oldest and largest in Western Monmouth County with over 70 participating units, including veterans groups, bands, floats, fire departments, EMS squads, youth groups, and various organizations.
Bradley Beach Memorial Day Weekend Festival (May 27–28, 2023, unconfirmed)
Bradley Beach Memorial Day Weekend Festival takes place for three days in Bradley Beach, Monmouth County. The parade on Ocean Avenue features pipe bands and school marching bands. There are food and craft vendors and games for children.
