Sangria in Spain 2025
The ultimate symbol of Spain tastes the best here
Best time: June–August
Sangria is a wine punch made with various fruits, wine or other alcohol. Originally, only orange and lemon were used, but over time, other fruits were added such as apple, pear, and nectarine. Typical sangria is made with red wine and goes hand in hand with festivity. Locals will likely prepare it for you as a sign of hospitality.
Sangria is similar to a drink called Tinto de Verano, but the former contains more alcohol. It can be enjoyed in every corner of this beautiful country. It's normally served with the cubes of ice and summer is the best time to enjoy this refreshing Spanish drink.
