Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival 2025 in Scotland
It is a great Scotch fun to intoxicate oneself to traditional Celtic singing, dancing, and storytelling
Dates: April 30-May 5, 2025
Scotch malt whiskies are famed throughout the world. There are five undisputed whisky regions across the country: Highlands & Islands, Lowlands, Islay, Campbeltown, and, of course, Speyside. The latter hosts a whisky festival—Spirit of Speyside—providing curious gourmets with unique opportunities to sample the best of local whisky. The programme offers over 700 whisky-inspired events and promises a great week for the curious beginners and the whisky connoisseurs alike.
Event venues range from distilleries old and new and charming village halls to local whisky bars and historic castles. Some whisky-themed events take place in the great outdoors. Festival locations are scattered along the River Spey basin from Keith in the East and Forres in the West to Kingussie in the South and Elgin in the North.
The Speyside Whisky Festival events take place throughout Speyside, which boasts the reputation of the largest whisky-producing region in Scotland. It is located in the Moray area in the northeast Scotland roughly between Aberdeen and Inverness.
