Stoking the coals at Aurora Ribfest

How many ribfests have you heard of? Probably not many, right? This unique theme is what attracts tourists to Aurora each August. Thanks to local BBQ teams, visitors can taste delicious, juicy ribs accompanied by roasted veggies, beavertails, roasted yams, roasted corn on the cob, and a variety of side dishes to satisfy their appetite. The Festival is all about "Ribs, Bibs, and Sauce"!

Hours

Open hours are 11 am to 11 pm on Saturday and Sunday and 4 pm to 11 pm on Friday. Beer Garden is open from 12 pm to 10 pm, the Children's Activity Zone operates from 2 pm to 5 pm, and the Midway is open from 11 am to 8 pm.

Entertainment

In addition to mouthwatering ribs and fantastic food vendors, there will be a beer garden by The Rotary Club of Aurora where you can sample fine beers from local brewers. After enjoying the food, burn off the calories at a live music concert featuring an impressive lineup of artists whose hits are sure to get you singing and dancing with thousands of other music lovers. An inflatable midway will be set up all weekend long, adding excitement for families and children of all ages. A Kids Activity Zone will also feature crafts, face painting, and more.

Tickets & Parking

Aurora Ribfest has free admission, so you won’t have to pay to enter. The event is held at Machell Park, so you may want to grab a blanket to sit on. However, there will be limited parking options, so the event’s administration highly encourages visitors to resort to carpooling if possible.
