Obidos Chocolate Festival (Festival Internacional de Chocolate de Óbidos) Featured in
Every spring, the population of the small medieval Óbidos rises dramatically up to 200,000 people in 12 days as Obidos Chocolate Festival arrives. The town hosts the chocolate festival, often called Festival do Chocolate Obidos in Portuguese. Here you can not only taste the sweets but also have an opportunity to prepare some during cooking classes. Keep in mind the festival is open to the public just on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
About 40 various companies, specialized in chocolate, present their products at the chocolate fair, or, as the Portuguese call it, feira do chocolate. What a great place for chocolate fans!
