In autumn, you have a great chance to see how world's famous wine – Port wine or Vinho do Porto – is produced. Participate in picking grapes as locals have been doing since the dawn of winemaking. Taste the region’s food and wines and take part in the ancient practice of feet treading to crush and press the grapes. Port wine, a sweet fortified drink, is produced exclusively in the Douro Valley, in the north of Portugal.
