In Avignon, winemakers, merchants, guilds, and enthusiasts gather to celebrate the new vintage from the Rhône Valley, one of France's oldest winemaking regions. Millévin, typically held on the third Thursday of November, is a festival renowned for its great food and excellent wine.

Musical Parade of Brotherhoods

From 6 pm, over 160 brothers from a dozen brotherhoods will parade from the City Hall to Place des Corps Saints. The route will be: Departure at City Hall, then Rue de la République, Avenue Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny, Place des Corps Saints, Rue des 3 Faucons, and ending at Place Saint-Didier.

Vine Tastings

Around 30 winemakers with stands in the town squares offer wine tastings and delicacies like meat and cheese plates, Aligot, and oysters. Some of ​the restaurants will even present you with a free glass of Côtes du Rhône with your meal. From 6 pm to 9 pm, enjoy a tasting and sale of Côtes du Rhône wines. Discover or rediscover these wines, including Côtes du Rhône Villages, while listening to music as you move from Place des Corps Saints to Place Saint-Didier. Access to the tasting costs €5, which includes a glass, five tasting tokens, and one breathalyzer. Starting at 8 pm, participate in the “Côtes du Rhône” dinner at partner restaurants. Each menu purchase includes a free glass of Côtes du Rhône.
