The unique Corsican climate offers great conditions for the wine industry. The region's wine making can originally be traced to a Phocaean trade settlement from 570 BC. It's presently known as Aléria. Corsican wine is a product which can only be found exclusively on the island. Visit local wineries during the harvest season and don't forget to bring some wine home! Especially aromatic and based on local traditions, this wine is said to be among the best in Europe.
