The first grapes in Bulgaria ripen in August and are on sale in the Bulgarian markets and the Bulgarian shops until the end of November.
Bulgaria is included in the top 5 grape countries of the world. Residents of Bulgaria and tourists prefer the local varieties of grapes since they are very fragrant and sweet.
Traditionally, wine and rakia are produced from grapes. Rakia is a strong drink that is produced here in much larger quantities than grape wine.
