This two-day event unites everyone involved in promoting Corsica's hazelnut industry, including growers, wholesalers, artists, and chefs. The festival features a variety of activities, such as folklore dancing, Corsican singing, street entertainment, and exhibitions.
Hazelnut Varieties
On a weekend in mid-August, the village of Cervione hosts visitors and locals to showcase hazelnuts grown in the Castagniccia and Casinca regions of Corsica. Here, visitors can taste and purchase hazelnuts and learn delicious local recipes. Those with a sweet tooth will be delighted to discover various cakes and sweets made from hazelnuts, including “Corsican Nutella.” Savory options like saline (a condiment made from coarse salt and chopped hazelnuts) and hazelnut oil are also available. During the two days of the fair, visitors can explore hazelnuts in all their forms: cakes, jams, candies, dishes, and more.

Fiera di A Nuciola is held in Church Square, located in the very center of Cervione. Cervione is known for several popular attractions, including Ferme aux Anes, Plage de Prunete, Chapelle Santa Cristina, Musee Anton Dumenicu Monti, and L'église Saint-Erasme de Cervione et son clocher isolé.
