Apple 'n Pork Festival History
The first festival was held in 1967. Initially, it started as a small fundraiser where guests were treated to a pot of soup and a stack of sandwiches. However, over time, the event has evolved into one of the largest fall festivals in central Illinois, drawing over 100,000 attendees at its peak over one two-day celebration. Throughout its development, the festival has provided a platform for farmers, artisans, and vendors to showcase their products, while also introducing visitors to community life.
