Patterson Apricot Fiesta Featured in
The rural city of Patterson, California, holds the nickname of Apricot Capital of the World for a reason. The area yields nearly 95,000 tons of this fruit every year! Everyone can join in the annual Apricot Fiesta, a sweet harvest festival, which started in the early 1970s.
Patterson Apricot Fiesta takes place over a weekend at the beginning of June and offers plenty of delicious desserts and drinks. In addition to food, craft, and commercial vendors, you can enjoy special events, such as a community parade, a corn hole tournament, an arm wrestling tournament, a car show, and a firework display. The kids' area is also there to keep the little ones entertained too.
Besides the Apricot Fiesta, Patterson also hosts a number of amusing events in late May, on the weekend before the main celebration. You can attend such popular happenings as Wine & Cheese and Miss Patterson Meet & Greet, or the Apricot Fiesta Bake Contest.
