Art in the Park at Marietta Square (September 2–4, 2023)
Known since 1986, Art in the Park takes place around and in the Glover Park and Marietta Square, 25 min by car from Atlanta, each Labor Day weekend. This signature tradition and event celebrates the arts featuring national and local artists from around the country. Art in the Park is happy to feature a children’s art alley, the famous Painted Pots, and, as a cherry on top, a renowned artist market. Art displays usually include photography, paintings, graphic arts, pottery, sculptures, jewelry, and more from over 175 of the country’s most celebrated artists. There is also a chance for guests to visit unique boutiques, galleries, museums, and restaurants.
Pioneer Days Festival at Sam Smith Park (September 1–4, 2023)
The Pioneer Days Festival is a family-oriented event held in Sam Smith Park, Cartersville, 44 miles (71 km) from Atlanta. The occasion features the best selection of rides, game concessions, and food. It also has a lot to offer at food stalls, such as nachos, pizza, corn dogs, cotton candy, funnel cakes, etc.
Sky High Hot Air Balloon Festival at Callaway Gardens (September 1–3, 2023)
Say goodbye to the summer with a signature annual event of The Callaway Gardens—The Hot Air Balloon Festival. Witness over 30 balloons taking off in the sky during Labor Day Weekend and try other fun activities in the park. Admission varies from $14.95 (one-day, children) to $69.95 (three-day, adult pass).
