Telluride Film Festival

The Telluride Film Festival, while being very open and democratic, is also one of the best-programmed festivals in the world. It takes place in the tiny mountain village of Telluride and offers a secret program that is revealed only when all the participants have arrived. But, probably no one has ever been disappointed, since among the discoveries of the festival are movies like Blue Velvet, Stranger Than Paradise, Talk To Her, Brokeback Mountain, Capote, Slumdog Millionaire, and The King's Speech. So no wonder the festivalgoers keep coming back to this event year after year, nevermind they know nothing about what's waiting for them.

The festival takes place annually on Labor Day weekend.

The ideal way to merge with the Telluride family is to buy one of four available passes, namely Cinephile, Acme, Festival and Patron. Depending on the level of the pass, you can get access to particular films, shows and other events during the festival. The nine venues of TFF will feature 40 film programs. The passes admit you to a range film-related activities and entertainment, from the Opening Night Feed on Friday evening to the Labor Day Picnic. All you have to do is choose which best suits your needs.

If you haven't bought a pass, you can still purchase an individual ticket to get admission to the show. However, individual tickets are sold only after all pass holders have been admitted and only if there are free seats left. Also, if you're interested in attending social gatherings, you can't go without a pass.

For the tickets and latest updates, please check with the official website (see External Resources below).
