Every year in November, Thessaloniki hosts one of the most prestigious film events in Southern Europe. The probability of meeting famous directors and actors in the city doubles at this time. Workshops, panel discussions, sidebar events and many other activities for audiences of all ages follow the screenings.
Founded in 1960, TIFF made its way from a predominantly Greek film festival to an international one in 1992. It now hosts parallel events in 4 different theatres and the Film Museum with around 150 movies each year and over 70,000 attendees.
