Vaduz, along with the nearby Swiss spa town of Bad Ragaz, will draw visitors to its streets, alleyways, and urban open spaces for the remarkable art event Bad RagARTz. As the 9th Swiss Sculpture Triennial, this exhibition is the largest open-air display of its kind in Europe, offering a unique cultural experience.
Bad RagARTz: Vaduz
In Vaduz, the works of 18 talented artists transform the town into a captivating open-air exhibition, offering visitors an inspiring and thought-provoking experience. Various guided tours, including a special full moon tour, provide exclusive insights into the sculptures and the artists’ creative processes, deepening your connection to the artwork. As you stroll through the artistically designed, traffic-free streets of Städtle Vaduz, you’ll be immersed in this unique gallery, enjoying both the artistic beauty and the peaceful charm of the town.
Art Tours
Between May and October 2024, visitors can book daily art tours as part of Bad RagARTz. Led by knowledgeable art experts, these two-hour tours offer fascinating insights into the sculptures and the artists behind them. Guests can choose from classic tours or opt for special tours held in the evening, morning, or during a full moon, each providing a unique perspective on the artwork.

At Bad RagARTz 2024, there are no doors and no admission fees, making the exhibition freely accessible to all. The sculptures are displayed in public spaces, allowing everyone to enjoy them without the barriers of traditional galleries. The initiators of Bad RagARTz aim to bring art out of museums and into the open air, creating a more inclusive experience by showcasing the works where people naturally gather.
Full Moon Tour in Vaduz
The Public Art Tour in Vaduz offers a 1-hour 45-minute immersive experience of the Bad Ragartz open-air sculpture exhibition, set against the enchanting backdrop of a full moon. With a knowledgeable guide, you'll explore the "Bad RagARTz" sculptures, which take on a unique and magical appearance under the moonlight, enhancing the beauty of the pieces and the surroundings. The nocturnal atmosphere of the Principality of Liechtenstein will leave you mesmerized. The tour costs 26 CHF, with the meeting point at the Liechtenstein Centre. The tour is conducted in German and runs from 10:30 am to 12:15 pm for the public art tour, while the full moon tour takes place from 9:30 pm to 11:15 pm.
