The beloved South Florida art fair also features live performances and music, culinary displays, and plenty of family-friendly activities. The festival takes place during Presidents’ Day Weekend in February in the beautiful location — waterfront Regatta Park in thescenic village of Coconut Grove, located south of downtown Miami. With stunning Biscayne Bay views at the backdrop, the Coconut Grove Arts Festival is a unique educational, culinary, and emotional experience.

Festival Highlights

Dozens of artists' booths are set up throughout the park, showcasing thousands of art-collector-worthy works: painting, fiber, glass, clay, jewelry, metal, and other forms of art are there for the public to enjoy. Aspiring artists can also let their imagination loose and try a hand at various techniques and approaches, creating and taking home their own masterpieces.

The Stacks is a one-of-a-kind project, where 6 container pyramids come to life before the spectators' eyes when transformed into art by Florida’s best muralists. 360 Exhibition is a captivating and immersive 360-degree dome experience. Several state-of-the-art projectors create a world of enchanting visuals. Although art is the main magnet of the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, culinary delights are no less important, as food can also become an artistic inspiration.

Arts & Drafts is the project where art meets craft brews. A unique mix of libations and artistic inspiration provides an open forum for workshops and creativity. Flavors of The Grove is a showcase where visitors can savor the culinary delights of South Florida's best restaurants. Each eatery presents a single signature dish, inviting the public to choose the ultimate culinary masterpiece.

Hours and Tickets

The festival runs from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday and from 10 am to 5 pm on Monday. General admission is $30 per person, children 12 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online or at the kiosks at the festival entrances on McFarlane Road, 27th Avenue, and Pan American Road.

Festival History

The Coconut Grove Arts Festival dates back to 1963. At that time, Coconut Grove was Miami’s art district, and a local theatre enthusiast, Charlie Cinnamon, decided to organize a replica of an outdoor Parisian exhibition to promote the Coconut Grove Playhouse’s production of Irma la Douce. Over time, the small gig has grown into one of the largest outdoor arts festivals in the South. At present, more than 100,000 people attend the art festival every year.
