Each November, Canal Convergence transforms the Scottsdale Waterfront into a vibrant, ten-night public art event, drawing over 150,000 visitors annually. Admission is completely free.
Event Highlights
Canal Convergence is an acclaimed annual event at the Scottsdale Waterfront, offering a series of free educational activities and interactive experiences. This immersive outdoor celebration features impressive large-scale artworks, along with engaging workshops, family-friendly activities, live music and dance performances, a beer and wine garden, and a variety of food trucks. By channeling the power of reflection through public art, this year's event aims to cultivate meaningful experiences that promote self-exploration and foster deeper connections among attendees.
Entertainment
Every night at Canal Convergence, the Herberger Stage at Soleri Plaza will come alive with live music and DJ performances. Guests can enjoy an eclectic mix of sounds, from intergalactic neo-soul and Americana to indie-pop and jazz, all within the vibrant nightlife setting of the Canal Convergence Beer and Wine Garden. The event also features a two-night Mini Film Festival, the popular One Water Brewing Showcase beer-tasting event, and a variety of other unique experiences.
Activities
The Canal Convergence Nationwide Innovation Zone presents an exciting blend of ticketed and drop-in workshops. Curated by Scottsdale Arts Learning & Innovation and inspired by the event's annual theme, each year offers a distinctive range of activities crafted by artists from local, national, and international backgrounds.
Schedule
Large-scale public artworks will light up the Scottsdale Waterfront each evening from Friday, November 8, through Sunday, November 17. On opening weekend, from November 8 to November 9, the displays will shine from 6 pm to 10 pm. During the week, from November 10 to November 14, visitors can experience the artwork from 6 pm to 9 pm. The following weekend, on November 15 and November 16, the installations will once again be on view from 6 pm to 10 pm. Finally, on closing night, November 17, the Waterfront will be illuminated from 6 pm to 9 pm.

The Scottsdale Waterfront, nestled along the Arizona Canal and extending over pedestrian pathways and bridges between Scottsdale Road and Goldwater Boulevard in Scottsdale, Arizona, is conveniently located just 20 minutes from downtown Phoenix.
