The Blueberry Art Festival is the annual summer event, which is held in Whiteside Park in Ely every July. The festival, which combines art and delicious food, features over 280 arts and crafts exhibitors and 30 food vendors with tasty summer treats. The three-day festival boasts a beautiful outdoor location, live music from local bands, and free admission.

Every year the Blueberry Art Festival gathers 30,000 to 40,000 attendees, being one of the most massive events in Ely. During 40 years of history, the festival has gained a reputation among artists, crafters, and makers, who attend it every year. It's a great place to shop for a watercolor or acrylic art, wood art, or pottery. Blueberry fans will not be disappointed with the variety of seasonal desserts! In addition to that, visitors can try burgers, brats, pork chops, seafood and kettle corn, and various beverages.

The Festival runs from 10 am to 6 pm on Friday and Saturday as well as from 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday. The weekend of fun, food, and exciting arts and crafts in Ely can be also combined with camping and hiking. It's a great occasion for campers and canoers to explore the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and Canada’s Quetico Provincial Park wilderness area.
