OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival is an annual medieval fair taking place at OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City every November. Held since 2022, the festival features live music, Highland Games, jousts, comedy shows, falconry, and other family-friendly entertainment. Travel back in time and meet fairies, pirates, Vikings, jests, vagabonds, minstrels, magicians, fire breathers, kings and queens, dancers, and other wonderful characters.

Highland Games

The main highlight of the OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival is Highland Games, showcasing nine events: the caber toss, hammer throw, and sheaf toss for men’s and women’s divisions. The winners will qualify to compete in the IHGF USA Amateur Highland Games Championships. The competition is a world class Olympic level event for men and women. Attendees can be part of the action and support great athletes, some of who may represent the USA in the next IHGF World Amateur Highland Games Championships!

Performers

The festival offers premier entertainment, featuring local and regional talent. The best and toughest armored combat teams, like Heroic Knights of Old, bring the thrill of medieval combat as knights and steel work to win the day. The Knights of OKC Armored Combat is another beloved local group and one of the best and toughest armored combat teams in the US. Sword, ace, and axe will test the armor and mettle of these knights as they start the battle!

Royal Rogues and Renegades, create a unique immersive pirate-themed experience with their flamboyant style and masterful costuming. Glomesdal Vikings are another group of historical reenactors based in the OKC area. The public can learn about theViking Age and the daily lives of the real Norse people.

The Fairy Court of King Oberon offers fairy songs, dance, and love magic. Visitors can complete the Fairy Quest and become a Dayed of the Fairy Court. Ragnar The Dragon will surely be the highlight of your medieval experience! Ragnar is a 10-foot-tall animatronic creature with a fearsome roar, moving neck, tail, and wings. Master Falconers of Raptors Keep will show off a historical and popular sport of the noble class.

Hours and Tickets

OKC Renaissance and Scottish Festival runs from 10 am to 6 pm on both days. Admission is $11 for adults if bought online in advance and $14 if bought at the gates. Kids admission is $5. Children 2 and under get in for free.
