Las Vegas Highland Games 2024

Embrace the spirit of Scotland at Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas

Dates: April 13–14, 2024

Las Vegas Highland Games is an annual celebration, presented by Las Vegas Celtic Society. The annual event honors the richness of Scottish culture by fusing traditional bagpiping and drumming, live music, heavy athletics, shopping, whiskey tasting, and more. Join the festival over a weekend in mid-April at Craig Ranch Regional Park in the energetic city of Las Vegas from 9 am to 5 pm. The opening ceremonies are scheduled for noon on Saturday and the closing ceremonies—for 4 pm on Sunday.

Festival highlights

The Highland Games transport attendees to the world of kilts, bagpipes, and fervent competitions against the stunning backdrop of the Las Vegas skyline. Gear up for a number of classic Scottish sports, such as the well-known caber toss, in which competitors show off their power and dexterity by tossing a huge tapered pole. Other athletic events include the weight for height, stone put, and hammer throw.

Besides the fervent competition, the festival vividly celebrates Scottish music, dancing, and culture in general. Highland dancers enthrall the audience with their deft dancing and vibrant costumes, while bagpipe bands fill the air with the mesmerizing sounds of Scotland. A wide range of Scottish products, including tartan kilts, clan crests, and traditional dishes and drinks, are available for purchase at vendor stalls.

Additionally, the festival also hosts a gathering of Scottish clans so that everyone can learn about their Scottish heritage and connect with those who share their ancestry. One of the special features at Las Vegas Highland Games must be a feeling of connection and belonging that lingers throughout the event, regardless of your lineage back to the ancient MacGregors or noble Campbells.
