The great land of Delaware invites history buffs to a brand-new Renaissance Faire! The medieval-themed festivities take place next to 474 Fleming Landing Rd in Townsend over three weekends in late October and early November. Delaware Renaissance Faire features resplendent shows, running across four stages, artisans demonstrating their dexterity by fashioning intricate crafts, and food vendors offering a plethora of sumptuous treats and hearty drinks.
Aside from live entertainment, an artisan market, and period-appropriate foods, Delaware Renaissance Festival boasts a lush selection of outdoor activities. You can try your skills at archery, dagger tossing, axe throwing, or even compete with a knight of old if you dare. After all, you can simply wander across the buzzing village and interact with various riveting characters. So, the program caters to the whole family.
Entertainment at the Faire includes falconry and birds of prey, sword-fighting from Phoenix Swords, bellydance, comedy, juggling, magic, fire, whip cracking for stage combat, theater, burlesque, martial arts, music, and dancing.
Delaware Renaissance Faire runs from 11 am to 6 pm. General admission is $20 for adults (over 15), $10 for children (5-14), young children, 4 and under get in for free.
