Delaware Taco Festival 2024
Taco heaven with plenty of entertainment

Every August the anticipated annual Delaware Taco Festival is held at Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park or the Frawley Stadium in Wilmington, the largest city in Delaware. A weekend event features a huge variety of tacos from over 25 best local restaurants, food trucks, and eateries.
Tacos & Other Food
Visitors can choose from more than 60 different kinds of tacos and other foods. Vendors will also be selling other foods like Mexican corn, burritos, churros, tamales, nachos, and plenty of beverages. You'll have a chance to taste plenty of delicious beverages, such as margaritas, beer, soda, tequila, and much more.
Tacofest Events
In addition to tacos, the festival offers lots of fun activities. There is Margarita Beach Bar, a mariachi band, a giant nacho bar, eating contests, and other attractions. Tequila Expo at the festival features more than 30 types of tequila. To work up an appetite, visitors might enjoy trying their hand at some of the carnival games. If you're brave enough, you can try your hand at the Hot Chili Pepper eating contest. Kids Zone features inflatables and face painting. The event also includes lots of live music and DJs, who will entertain you all weekend.
Tickets
Ticketing options depend on your age and preferences. General admission includes entrance to the festival, a free drink, access to the bars and samplings, live music and DJs, and eating contests. VIP packages include general admission perks plus two-hour express early entry, taco vouchers, drink vouchers, exclusive party tents with private bathrooms, VIP seating, merchandise and souvenirs for great memories.
Organizers offer early bird prices for both general admission and VIP packages. Kids aged ten and under get free admission with a paying adult. Early bird general admission costs $9.99, while early bird VIP admission costs $54.99.
Schedule
The festival usually runs from 2 pm until 8 pm. However, those with VIP packages can enter earlier, at 12 pm. The vendors and all festival functions usually start operating from noon.
Location
The festivities take place in Wilmington at the Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park, a gorgeous, picturesque area and a perfect spot for such a vibrant celebration as the Delaware Taco Festival. It's situated on the banks of Christina River, right by the train station, which is convenient for those traveling for the festival from other states or cities.
