The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire 2024 in Los Angeles

The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire takes place in one of the most picturesque villages of California Irwindale attracting more than 200,000 participants and guests. Irwindale turns into a real town of the Renaissance era during every weekend in April and May. Guests can see various performances and parades, knight tournaments, Celtic dances, and folk music. No fair can do without the participation of circus performers who demonstrate an exciting show of lights, throwing knives, and comedy shows.
Entertainment and Events
Each week of the faire has a certain theme that reveals the Renaissance and invites you to visit various events. Festival guests can join the annual festivities at Port Deptford and explore Pirate culture on the Pirate and Marketplace Weekend (April 13-14). Cottagecore Weekend (April 20-21) encourages to dress in the finest woodland garments and showcase the village artisans who craft the delightful aesthetic known as Cottagecore.
Renncon (April 27-28) is a cosplay extravaganza. Whether your inspiration comes from the realms of sci-fi, anime, comics, television, fairy tales, or elsewhere, Renncon welcome guests to join 16th-century villagers at the largest costume gathering in L.A. Visitors are also welcomed to attend the Ghome Hunt and Pub Crawl.
Numerous bands take part in the celebration. Among the regulars are "The Merry Wives of Windsor"—a folk band that performs traditional melodies from the British Isles and the classical music of the European Renaissance; "The Dread Crew of Oddwood"—a group of folk metal known for its pirate music played exclusively by acoustic instruments; and "Poxy Boggards"—an American male band from Pasadena.
Tickets and Location
Tickets for The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire are available at the following prices: adult single-day tickets are $42.00, senior (62+)—$37.00 (Box Office only), military (with ID)—$37.00 (Box Office only), child (ages 5-12) single-day—$21.00. Children 4 and under are free, and a season pass (for all ages) costs $225.00.
The Faire runs at Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area from 10 am to 7 pm. The Area is nestled at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains in Irwindale and provides stunning vistas of the mountains. Spanning 836 acres, this facility provides visitors with the opportunity to enjoy a tranquil 70-acre lake suitable for year-round fishing and the use of non-motorized watercraft. Additionally, there are biking and walking trails, offering a recharge from the urban hustle and bustle of the city.
It's important to remember that there is no free parking at the Faire, also food and drink booths are cash only. Pets are not permitted at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire; however, service animals are welcome. There is no camping at the Faire site or the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area.
