Countdown at Grand Park (December 31, 2024)
Join tens of thousands of Angelenos for the annual New Year's Eve Countdown at Grand Park in downtown Los Angeles. Known officially as Gloria Molina Grand Park, this vibrant public park serves as a beloved gathering space for Los Angeles County, showcasing the area's cultural richness through a variety of community events, cultural experiences, holiday celebrations, and more.
Experience one of the West Coast's premier New Year's Eve celebrations at this free, extravagant outdoor event. Festivities begin at 8 pm with live bands and a diverse lineup of LA's top food trucks offering delicious fare. Enjoy high-energy performances at two stages from global musicians, an exciting DJ lineup, captivating art installations, and more. The Get Down Stage will feature an all-female DJ lineup hosted by Midi Riperton, with performances by Girls Make Beats, Linafornia, DJ Que Madre, and Ladies of Sound. The Countdown Stage, hosted by Novena Carmel, includes live performances by Weapons of Mass Creation, Pachyman, and Antibalas.
The night culminates with an interactive countdown featuring 3-D digital video projected onto a 22-story City Hall, followed by an incredible fireworks display. Public parking is available at The Music Center and Walt Disney Concert Hall garages for $10 per vehicle.

Tournament of Roses (January 1-3, 2025)
For those still brimming with holiday cheer after New Year's Eve, the celebration continues just outside Los Angeles with Pasadena's iconic Tournament of Roses in early January. Recognized as one of America's finest New Year festivities and floral parades, this street extravaganza begins on January 1 at 8 am, and the early wake-up call is well worth it.
Thousands gather along the five-mile Rose Parade route to enjoy a dazzling two-hour display of vibrant floral floats, spirited marching bands, and impressive equestrian entries. The parade commences at the corner of Green Street and Orange Grove Blvd., proceeding north on Orange Grove and then east along Colorado Blvd., finishing at Villa Street.
After the parade, visitors can experience Floatfest: A Rose Parade Showcase from January 1 through 3. Nearly 70,000 visitors flock to the Sierra Madre and Washington Boulevards in Pasadena for this opportunity to admire the intricacy of the Rose Parade floats up close, with a two-mile display highlighting the stunning creativity and craftsmanship of each floral masterpiece.
