The annual Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival takes place in Las Vegas, Nevada. Every October, the event offers an exciting experience of immersement in the Renaissance era's history, culture, and spirit. Age of Chivalry has been a famous attraction for locals and tourists for over two decades.

Program Highlights

Thousands of people gather at Sunset Park in Las Vegas for the three-day Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival. Visitors can enjoy all sorts of period entertainment, like jousting competitions, small knight parades, sparkling armor displays, and even improvised lectures about the fascinating history of the Renaissance. Additionally, the public will see historical reenactments and live performances, as well as try period foods and beverages.

In addition to themed medieval fun, the event includes a range of all-time classic stuff, such as musical, comedy, and theatrical shows. Also, visitors can participate in live demonstrations of Renaissance arts & crafts, like weaving, glassblowing, and blacksmithing. In addition, there are many different food and beverage options available, with exhibitors having everything, from turkey legs to mead. Whisky tasting in a semi-private setting in the Faire’s Royal Pub is available for adults only. Meanwhile, active people can try their hand at ax throwing and archery. Children, in turn, can engage in cool medieval activities, pony rides, camel rides, face painting, inflatables, and a petting zoo. With activities for all ages, the festival is a great event for families!

Villages

Several themed villages at the Las Vegas Renaissance Festival are filled with various characters: royalty, knights, Vikings, barbarians, pirates, and fairies. Guests can watch live performances and various activities. The Royal Court village is run by the Kingdom of Coreathea, a re-enactment group, focused on the Renaissance era, from 1485 to 1603. Pirates Port features Clan Darksail, The Royal French Privateers of Clan Darksail. The village offers workshops and interactive card games for kids, and Pirate Yoga on Sunday afternoon. Barbarians Bourg village features the crew of the Battle Wolf, privateers and mercenaries of the seas, as well as The Pride, a traveling caravan of Eastern Europeans, and many more.

Past performers of the festival also included Seattle Knights, Gallows Humor, Mysto the Magician, Bawdy Juggler, B.P.S. Magic and Variety, Adam Reid School of Juggling, Captains Challenge, Sisters of Cybele, Liberty Wings, Penelope Pendragon, Whisky Barrel Forge: Hobbits and Blacksmith, Mike “Barber Surgeon” Foster, and Johann the Papermaker.

Marketplace

The vast marketplace at the Las Vegas Renaissance Festival includes many craft vendors. The list of their unique wares is almost endless and includes apparel, children’s toys, calligraphy sets, jewelry, weapons, books, leather goods, laced-up and leather corsets, 3-D printed animals and dice towers, antiques, Celtic tapestries, flower crowns, board games, bath and beauty products, tarot cards, potions, handmade Viking knit chains and bracelets, and much more.

Hours and Tickets

Age of Chivalry Las Vegas Renaissance Festival runs from 10 am to 10 pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday. Tickets are available on the official website at the following Early Bird prices: a Single Day Adult Ticket is $15 + $3.56 fee, a Single Day Children Ticket (ages under 12) is $8 + $3.34 fee; a Three Day Adult Pass is $35 + $4.17 fee, and a Three Day Children Pass is $20 + $3.71 fee.
