Shasta Renaissance and Fantasy Faire is an annual themed festival, gathering the fans of a fairytale at Shasta District Fairgrounds, Anderson, California. The event is traditionally scheduled for late May, the Memorial Day weekend, to be more precise. The Hasta Renaissance and Fantasy Faire 2024 promises an enchanting journey into the realms of imagination, where fantasy meets reality in a truly unforgettable experience.
The faire offers entertainment and activities suitable for the whole family, making it a perfect outing for children and adults alike. Kids can enjoy face painting, games, and meet-and-greets with fantasy characters, ensuring a memorable experience for everyone.
Events and Activities
The celebration is organized by Golden Goblin, a fair & entertainment production company. Spectators arriving at the Shasta Renaissance and Fantasy Faire have been entertained and given unforgettable emotions by Jeff Ugly Shoes, Rocking Horse, Claude the Dragon, Dotter's Knot, The Bawdy Juggler, Merry Castle Dancers, The Scurvy Barnacles, Tom the Viking, and many others.
Guilds and Camps
Faire events include activities of the different Guilds and Camps: The Guild of St. Margaret of Scotland, Inc., Kaotic Mythicals, The Lair of Yslsl, The Dead Bluffs, Savage Lands/Empire of Medieval Pursuits, The Stirling Mercenaries, and The Rogues of the Golden Coast. For example, The Guild of St. Margaret of Scotland, Inc. aims to enchant visitors with the realism of the court of King James VI/Ib, which Ladies in Waiting, Courtiers, the Royal Household, and members of the Royal Family help to do.
With a troupe of volunteer educators & performers, Kaotic Mythicals engages, entertains, and educates in nature sciences. Award-winning educators with over 35 years of teaching experience developed, adapted, or modified these engagements.
Tickets and Locations
The Shasta Renaissance and Fantasy Faire gates open from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 5 pm on Sunday. Ticket prices differ: adults pay $15, youth (ages 11-17)—$13, and kids under ten get free admission. Be sure that everyone will enjoy the unique festive ambiance.
All faire events take place at the Shasta District Fair & Event Center. Note that Shasta District Fair & Event Center lies west of route I-5, about 12 miles (19 km) south of Redding, CA, and 150 miles (241 km) north of Sacramento, where you can find a large number of hotels, restaurants, cafes, and other necessary infrastructure.

Shasta Renaissance and Fantasy Faire also offer to become an event sponsor and be featured on social media, on the website, and at the fair for a certain period. Various types of sponsorship (Benefactor—$500, Patron—$250, Friend of the Faire—$100) will help entrepreneurs gain recognition and loyalty from festival visitors.
