WinterFest brings holiday spirit to California’s Great America. A huge 100-acre amusement park in Santa Clara, California some 40 mins away from San Francisco, is transformed into a winter wonderland. Skating in front of the stunning Carousel Columbia is an iconic experience at the park. However, there are more holiday activities here like watching live performances, trying more than 60 carnival rides and attractions, visiting Santa's workshop and Mrs. Claus’ kitchen, as well as enjoying sparkling holiday light displays.
California's Great America WinterFest consists of nine themed areas, such as the Hometown Square with snow falling on the ground, the Candy Cane Lane, Planet Sloppy with Charlie Brown’s Christmas tree, Toy Land, and others. The Gold Striker, Flight Deck coasters, and Flying Eagles are available for older kids.
WinterFest hosts one of the Bay Area’s tallest Christmas trees decorated with thousands of LED lights and guarded by giant toy soldiers that greet guests. There is also snow inside the park, accompanied by a full holiday spectacle galore.
