Blue Cross RiverRink on the Delaware River is Philadelphia's go-to destination for family-friendly entertainment year-round. In the warmer months, the waterfront park hosts Summerfest, while in the extended winter season, it transforms into a holiday wonderland for Winterfest. Opening weekend is set for late November, followed by the Christmas tree-lighting event in early December. Ice Skating & Christmas Tree
The main highlight of Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest is its Olympic-size ice skating rink, offering stunning views of the Delaware River and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. The winterized waterfront park also features a cozy garden with a magnificent Christmas tree sparkling with thousands of lights, along with fire pit stations and comfortable heated cabins available for rent. Throughout the season, visitors can enjoy illuminated boardwalk games and take rides on a twinkling 60-foot-tall Ferris Wheel.
Winterfest features a delightful array of outdoor concessionaires, including Black Iron BBQ, Chickie's & Pete's, and Skelly's Amusements, serving up a variety of delicious fare. Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest welcomes visitors with free admission and is open to the public year-round. While entry is free, it's recommended to reserve cabins, firepits, or ice skating experiences in advance. Skate admissions cost $5, with skate rentals priced at $12 and Ferris wheel rides available for $5 each. The Winterfest is open seven days a week, including holidays, making it a perfect winter destination for family fun!
