Blue Cross RiverRink on the Delaware River is Philly's favorite hub of family-friendly entertainment at any time of year. Over the warm season, the waterfront park, located at Columbus Boulevard and Chestnut Street hosts Summerfest, while for the extended winter season, the area transforms into a true holiday wonderland. Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest opening weekend is scheduled for late November; the Christmas tree lighting event takes place in early December, and seasonal attractions operate well through early March.

The main highlight of Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest is its Olympic-size ice skating rink, overlooking the splendid Delaware River and Benjamin Franklin Bridge. Besides, the winterized waterfront park features a cozy garden with a signature Christmas tree, shimmering with thousands of lights, and an outdoor rest area, with fire pit stations and comforting warming cabins available for rent. People can also enjoy themed games and have some delicious foods and beverages on site.

Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest offers free admission and is open to the public. As for the cabins, firepits, or ice skating experiences, we recommend reserving these in advance. All additional information can be found on the official websites of the Delaware River Waterfront or Philadelphia Tourism, both listed in the External Resources below. Lastly, consider booking your winter getaway accommodations beforehand too—see available housing options around Blue Cross RiverRink on the map.
