Every year, thousands of magicians from all over the US flock to Pigeon Forge, a beautiful mountain town in eastern Tennesse. The Winter Carnival of Magic takes place in Pigeon Forge annually, during one weekend in early March. The evening performances take place at the Country Tonite Theatre. There is also a competition that includes a close-up and stage contest. In addition to performances, the three-day convention features lectures and dealer workshops.
During more than three decades of history, the Winter Carnival of Magic has attracted some of the most famous magicians, such as Oscar Muñoz, Jeff McBride, Pop Haydn, Joshua Jay, Losander, the Pendragons, Aldo Colombini, Terry Evanswood, Duane Laflin, Arthur Trace, Gene Anderson, Shawn Farquhar, and many others. The gathering has also been a great opportunity for aspiring and young magicians to show their talent and get professional advice.
