Portola Music Festival 2024 in San Francisco

The Portola Music Festival, often called Portola, is a dynamic annual event at San Francisco's Pier 80. Launched in 2022 and presented by Goldenvoice—the team behind Coachella—this Festival showcases a diverse lineup of electronic dance music artists and offers an unforgettable experience in the heart of San Francisco.

This year's Portola Music Festival features a remarkable lineup of electronic music artists over two days of spectacular performances. Fans will recognize many top names in contemporary electronic music, including Floating Points, Fcukers, Empress Of, Franc Moody, Gesaffelstein, Jessie Ware, Joy Orbison, Jamie xx, Four Tet, Nils Hoffmann, Peaches, Rüfüs Du Sol, Fisher, Disclosure, Justice, M.I.A., Mochakk, Neil Frances, Tycho, and more.

Hours

The Festival will take place on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29, 2024. Doors open at 1:00 pm PT each day, with a curfew at 11:00 pm PT.

Tickets

General Admission grants access to the Festival, including entry to all stages and GA areas with food and beverage vendors. Single-day GA tickets start at $324.95, while 2-day GA tickets begin at $439.95.

VIP Admission offers a premium festival experience with a dedicated VIP Entry Lane, exclusive food and beverage options, and access to the VIP viewing areas at four stages. Single-day VIP tickets for Saturday start at $439.95, for Sunday at $399.95, and a 2-day VIP pass starts at $694.95.

Location

The Festival will be held both indoors and outdoors at Pier 80, a sprawling 60-acre site and San Francisco's largest cargo terminal. As the city's only pier capable of directly transferring materials from ships to railroad cars, Pier 80 plays a crucial role in the transportation and distribution of goods.

Rules & Restrictions

Portola Music Festival is a 21+ event, so you must be at least 21 years old on the day(s) you plan to attend. A valid government-issued photo ID is required for entry, and expired IDs will not be accepted. No one under 21, even if accompanied by someone of legal age, will be allowed into the Festival. Portola is a cashless event, accepting major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover, as well as contactless payment options like Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, and contactless cards. Prohibited items include bicycles, skates, scooters, skateboards, chairs, coolers, fireworks, flags, drones, illegal drugs, weapons, and selfie sticks. Animals and outside food are also not permitted.
