Festival History

MELT Festival, originally known as Melt! Festival, debuted in 1997 at Bernsteinsee in Velten, Brandenburg, and later moved to Lärz airfield for its second edition. Since 1999, the festival has found its home at Ferropolis near Gräfenhainichen.

Throughout its history, MELT has garnered numerous international accolades, including awards for "Best Festival," "Artist's Favorite European Festival," and "Green 'N' Clean Festival Of The Year," among others. Renowned for its exceptional lineups and unique atmosphere, MELT has become one of Germany's most beloved music festivals, drawing enthusiasts from techno, house, indie, pop, and rap genres.

Sadly, after 27 years, the organizers announced that the 2024 edition will be the final MELT Festival. Various factors have led to this decision, marking the end of an era for this iconic event.
