Natchez Balloon Festival 2024

A magical festival for children ages from 1 to 100 years old

Dates: October 18-19, 2024

Since 1986, the Natchez Balloon Festival has been fulfilling everyone's childhood dreams: here, people can fly оn a hot air balloon, watch fireworks, or play games all weekend. The festival program can keep kids and their parents busy all day long. The festival takes place at the parklike grounds of Rosalie Mansion above the Mississippi River, offering breathtaking views. Hot air balloons are launched on all three days of the festival, weather permitting. Flights take place in the morning and one day in the afternoon, so there is a chance to meet the dawn or sunset up in the air. Keep in mind that inclement weather will ground the balloons, so plan to go on a clear and calm day.

The festival has prepared a lot of activities on the ground: concerts, workshops, and delicious festival food. Natchez Balloon Festival Arts and Crafts Fair features a range of handmade arts and crafts by local and traveling artists. The weekend of hot-air balloons and excellent live music has become the largest and most successful festival in Southwest Mississippi.

*COVID-19 UPDATE The Natchez Balloon Festival Program has had to be amended due to health and safety concerns. The 2020 edition will be without the festival and music portion of the program. Hot air balloons will still be flying on the scheduled weekend. Check the official website for updates.
