Cathedral City’s hot air balloon festival annually brings together thousands of locals and foreign visitors, making it one of California’s most popular events. At the same time, admission fees aren’t sky-high: an adult ticket with breakfast costs around $20, and if you just want an entry pass, it’ll be only $10. Children’s tickets are only $15 or $5 accordingly.
Held in Coachella Valley, the festival offers many attractions for any taste. Entertainment options include regular & rooftop balloon launches, live music concerts, an art show, a sports park, a kid-friendly zone, and even a car display. In addition, the organizers have prepared massive balloon shows with special-shaped aerostats, like bees, chickens, penguins, and other cute creatures. And in case you get hungry, there’ll be a vendor village with food trucks, beer booths, and wine gardens.
