Event Details
The Taiwan Open of Surfing will host the World Surf League (WSL) Qualifying Series 5000 event. This highly anticipated competition features both the WSL Men's and Women's Qualifying Series for 2024. With favorable surf conditions expected throughout the seven-day event window, a call will be made at 7:30 am local time to determine the start of the opening rounds. This event is a key stop for surfers looking to earn points and advance in the global rankings.
Location
Jinzun's geographical location makes it a prime surfing destination, particularly favored by advanced surfers known as "ronai." When the northeast monsoon arrives, it brings stable, consistent waves, often reaching over half a person's height, making it ideal for experienced surfers. This spot is known for its challenging waves, drawing surf enthusiasts from around the world.

Even if you're not into surfing, Jinzun offers a picturesque 3-kilometer stretch of beach, perfect for relaxing, listening to the waves, and watching the sunrise.
