Concerts, campfires, snow sculpturing, skiing, dog sledding, and many other activities—that's what Denali National Park and the surrounding communities offer to visitors during Winterfest. It’s a family-friendly event, so feel free to visit it with children. The festival lasts for a few days, starting off with the community and park activities during the week and leading up to a full day of events on the last Saturday in February. Most Saturday events and activities are free, so come and join!
In 2017 the park hosted a special expanded Winterfest to commemorate the Centennial of Denali National Park and Preserve, as on February 26, 2017, was the actual 100th anniversary of the signing of the bill that established Mt McKinley National Park.
