Arctic Comic Con is the most significant fan convention in the state, held at Dena'ina Convention Center in Anchorage every spring. The fun, family-friendly event is dedicated to comic books, fantasy, SCI-FI, horror, anime, gaming, wrestling, and all things popular culture.
The inaugural two-day Arctic Comic Con in Anochrage took place in 2018, gathering thousands of fans, artists, writers, actors, and creators. The exhibition hall hosts various vendors offering costumes, books, magazines, toys, and collectibles. The Artists Alley is a unique space focused on comics creators, graphic art, and the creative process. Visitors can buy original art from some of the biggest comic book artists in the business today.
Arctic Comic Con provides access to premium gaming, tabletop games, and cosplay competitions. Adults can also relax at the Elysian beer garden and try some microbrews from Elysian Brewing Company. Q&A sessions, autograph signings, and photo ops give a chance to meet celebrities like Michael Biehn, Bai Ling, Jim Duggan, Tom Arnold, Kevin Nash, Keith Coogan, Jennifer Blanc-Biehn, John Schneider, and Arthur Suydam. Arctic Comic Con runs from noon to 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday. General admission starts at $28.
