Thousands of lights will appear above the water surface, mesmerizing your eyes. Think of a message you want to send, draw it on your lantern, and then release it onto the water.
When the fest is over, the organizers will pick up all the lanterns and pick up any trash, making the event not only fun but also eco-friendly. During the festival, you’ll be able to enjoy the lights show, savor delicious dishes from local food vendors, and watch art come to life at live painting sessions.
The Water Lantern Festival is held in Kit Carson Park. It kicks off at 2 pm and lasts for 5 hours. Prices start at $35, and each ticket includes a floating lantern kit, an entry wristband, a marker, a candle, and a drawstring bag to keep as a souvenir. The admission fee also includes post-party cleaning services.
