Water Lantern Festivals 2023 in Colorado

Water Lantern Festival is a beautiful occasion that brings people together to relish food, music, and thousands of glittering lanterns float on the water. This event takes place in multiple states across the USA, with Colorado being among them. The Centennial State hosts one festival in the Denver area and another one in Colorado Springs.

Thornton Water Lantern Festival (July 2023)

The first-in-class Thornton Water Lantern Festival takes place in mid-July at Carpenter Park, Thornton, just north of Denver. The festivities start at 5:30 pm and last up to 10 pm. At 8:30 pm, you are welcome to design your lantern and prepare it for a magical water journey. The mass lanterns launch is scheduled for 9 pm.

Colorado Springs Water Lantern Festival (unconfirmed in 2023)

Alternatively, visit Colorado Springs Water Lantern Festival in Memorial Park. The gates are usually open 5 pm through 10 pm. Still, the best part comes at nightfall, when festival attendees launch glowing lanterns on Prospect Lake and indulge in the comforting atmosphere of hope, love, and belonging.
