The first-in-class Thornton Water Lantern Festival takes place in mid-July at Carpenter Park, Thornton, just north of Denver. The festivities start at 5:30 pm and last up to 10 pm. At 8:30 pm, you are welcome to design your lantern and prepare it for a magical water journey. The mass lanterns launch is scheduled for 9 pm.
