Beach Season in Madagascar 2024-2025

Although Madagascar’s greatest attraction must be its rich endemic wildlife, it also is renowned for its beach resorts distinguished for its marine life and turquoise waters. The months from September to December are considered to be the best for enjoying beach holidays owing to high temperatures and light rains. Water temperatures in November reach 90 °F (32 ºC). Moreover, this time is suitable to combine beach holidays with Malagasy wildlife as rodents, chameleons, snakes, lizards become particularly active during that season. Another advantage is lemurs with their offsprings who are born by the end of October.

The most famous beach destinations in Madagascar are Nosy Be Island and Nosy Boraha Island (formerly known as Sainte-Marie).
