Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival is a free, family-friendly event to celebrate the spring and Japanese culture. This time-honored tradition is held in early April at Nashville Public Square, as this is when the downtown sees an explosion of stunning pink blossoms that make a fantastic atmosphere all around.
Festival highlights comprise the contemporary and traditional Japanese music and dancing, cultural lectures, exhibits, Cherry Blossom Walk, arts & crafts, a roving Japanese "Candyman." Besides, here you can also discover martial arts demonstrations, anime merchandise, sumo-suit wrestling, children's activities, a Cosplay Contest, and, of course, try a variety of delicious Japanese cuisine.
