This annual festival transforms ten city blocks in Historic Germantown into a vibrant celebration of beer, food, and energetic music, inviting all who share a passion for these delights.

Festival Highlights

This beer extravaganza showcases more than a dozen exceptional beers from renowned breweries around the globe. Attendees can participate in fun events such as the Brat Eating Contest and the Beer Stein Holding Contest, as well as explore local arts and crafts vendors. Throughout the day, live music performances will provide entertainment, with this year’s lineup featuring the Chill Pill band, Alex Shor, and more. Enjoy a variety of delicious food options that will satisfy any appetite.

Activities

Oktoberfest offers something for everyone. The Party Tent is a highlight featuring communal tables, a stage, and its own bar, creating an authentic Munich Oktoberfest experience. Gather with friends to enjoy brats and beer while live bands perform classic German music. The Pup Parade invites attendees and their four-legged friends to join in the fun, with dogs encouraged to don costumes and showcase their flair in front of the Main Stage. Additional activities include the Dachshund Derby and the second-largest 5K Race & Run in Tennessee.

The Nashville Oktoberfest provides an authentic German culinary experience with a variety of delicious dishes crafted by skilled chefs, food trucks, and specialty vendors. Visitors can enjoy a range of traditional treats including brats, sausages, schnitzel, strudel, funnel cakes, and roasted almonds. For younger attendees, festival favorites such as pizza, french fries, corn dogs, mini bratwursts, funnel cakes, and ice cream are also available.

Entrance

Since 1980, the Nashville Oktoberfest has been a key event in Nashville, offering an immersive experience in German culture. General admission is only $10, with free entry for children aged 3 and under. The festival hours are: Thursday, October 3rd, from 5 pm to 10 pm; Friday, October 4th, from 11 am to 10 pm; Saturday, October 5th, from 11 am to 10 pm; and Sunday, October 6th, from 11 am to 5 pm.

Parking

The festival is held at The Bicentennial Capital Mall State Park. While there are no dedicated parking lots, several nearby lots are available but tend to fill up quickly. On-street parking is also an option in the Germantown area.
