Winter Jam in Central Park is a free winter sports festival for New Yorkers and visitors of all ages. Even if there is no snow on that day in New York City, organizers of the festival will blow lots of it so that thousands of people can enjoy snowshoeing, sledding, skiing, and snowboarding. If you haven't tried it before, you can acquire new skills during skiing and snowboarding lessons provided by Lake Placid.
The action-packed day of winter sports will last from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. A warming hut will be offering snacks and hot chocolate. There will also be many vendors and food trucks participating in the festival, like cider-maker Breezy Hill Orchards and Meredith’s Bread bakery. The festival is held at Central Park's Bandshell Area, 72nd Street entrance.
