The Treasure Island Music Festival always brings in some new, unusual voices to San Francisco. The two-day festival first took place on Treasure Island, located in San Francisco Bay—hence its name. However, due to environmental reasons in 2018, the festival moved to Middle Harbor Shoreline Park in Oakland. The festival advocates for zero-emission energy and emphasizes the use of composting.

The lineup on the first day of Treasure Island Music Festival consists of electronic, hip-hop and rap music, while the second day features rock and indie music. The festival has two separate stages. The northernmost scene is usually the main stage.

Since its start in 2007, Treasure Island Music Festival brings a unique experience with artists of wide-ranging musical genres and backgrounds as well as amazing art installations. All this is surrounded by the stunning views of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Past music lineups include Outkast, Beck, deadmau5, LCD Soundsystem, Atoms for Peace, Vampire Weekend, Massive Attack, Beach House, Belle & Sebastian, CHVRCHES, James Blake, Major Lazer, Justice, The National, The xx, Sigur Rós, The War on Drugs, and more.
