Fredericksburg Hot Air Balloon Festival is one of the most popular Texas events, which includes ballooning, polo, and networking as its top priorities. Apart from horses and balloons, the program offers a gourmet dinner, helicopter rides, wine tastings and grape stomp, fashion, live music, a zoo, and other entertainment. Among the biggest highlights of the festival are hot air balloon rides and nighttime balloon glow rides. Both experiences are weather-dependent.
Usually, up to four hot air balloons are present at the festival. Tickets don't include balloon rides or tethered rides. Tickets can be purchased at the Tethered Ride Tent Area. Pets are welcome at the festival, but dogs must be leashed, and owners must clean up after them.
Fredericksburg Hot Air Balloon Festival takes place at Grapetown Vineyard and Farm, where visitors can meet zebra, reindeer, camels, blackbuck, rheas, alpacas, and goats. Wine tours are available from 9 to 11 am, and from 1 to 3 pm. General admission is $10. The VIP experience is $290. Note that prices may increase closer to the day of the event. Top attractions should be purchased in advance.
